pädiatrie schweiz jointly awards the Guido Fanconi Memorial Prize 2021 to Prof. Dr. med. Bea Latal and Prof. Dr. med. Oskar Jenni, Co-Head of the Department of Developmental Pediatrics, Children's Hospital Zurich, for their outstanding achievements and services to pediatrics in Switzerland, particularly in the field of developmental pediatrics.

The award is named after Guido Fanconi (1892 - 1979), a faculty member of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich from 1929 to 1962, who is considered the founder of modern pediatrics.
